2024 Blessing of the Fleet
Each spring, the Blessing of the Fleet and Burning of the Socks marks the start of boating season at the St. Andrews Marina — a beloved local tradition that perfectly blends faith, fun, and a little saltwater spirit. Boats line the docks to receive a blessing for safe journeys ahead, while onshore, locals and visitors gather to toss their old winter socks into the fire, symbolically welcoming warmer days and barefoot weather.
